What have we been up to?
What a month December was!
We sang Christmas Carols in the high street and ended up raising £300 for Children's Liver Disease Foundation UK! They have supported one of our families, so we wanted to give back.
We had Parent Christmas Crafts stay and play where we decorated lots of different Chrismas decorations! We had some festive nibbles and hot chocolates just to get us in the Christmas Spirit!
Our lovely chef Kelsie then made us a Christmas Dinner whilst the children met Santa in the Grotto. Meeting Santa was amazing and the children haven't stopped talking about it since!
We also enjoyed Christmas Jumper day, Crazy Hair day, Party day and PJ day on Christmas Eve.
Wow! What fun we have had!
We loved creating our Christmas cards, calendars, decorations and reindeer food.
We have loved welcoming the children back so far. They have been telling us all about their Christmas break and what they have been up to with their families.
We have especially loved getting back to our amazing Extra-Curricular Classes!

We waved goodbye to Jamie-Lee who has been at Monkey Puzzle for 13 years! We wish you and Dolcie all the luck in the world!
We said hello to Aston who has returned from Maternity Leave after nearly a year. It's good to have you back!
In December we had an inset day where we re-painted the nursery and imbedded our new resources & ideas ready for the new year.
As some of you already know when using Famly you are able to upload parent observations on your child/Children this is important as Parents and carers play a crucial role in supporting their young children’s learning and development, Parent and carer contributions to children’s documentation can help us to bring children’s home lives into the setting and help us to teach in meaningful ways
.
It is also a useful tool to help with parent partnership. Parent partnership helps early year’s practitioners to tailor their service around the specific needs of the child in their care. Parents are experts on their children and through positive communication with the parent, the Practitioner can gather all sorts of information that would otherwise not have been available to them.
