What have we been up to?

All the children here at Monkey Puzzle have really enjoyed joining in with nursery events throughout the last few months. All the children and staff took part in dress up for world book day whilst raising money for Crackerjacks children's trust. We have also enjoyed celebrating St Patricks day and red nose day. 

Pre-school have really enjoyed taking part in different activities throughout the last few months. One of their favourites was learning about the world they live in and the world around them. Pre-school have enjoyed looking at the map of the world. Pre-school have enjoyed looking at the map of the world pre-school will be continuing their learning about the importance of healthy living such as oral care, healthy eating and exercise. 

 

Toddlers have really enjoyed taking part in different messy activities for their display on the People who help us. Toddlers have recently finished making different vehicles and learning about the noises they make and who drives them. 

Babies are getting used to their new & refurbished Baby Room they have created a calming black and white area where the babies can relax on their mini sofa and enjoy looking at different pictures & books. Babies have also created a designated sensory area with lots of different sensory materials such as mini bubble tubes, fibre optic colour changing lamps and much more.

March/April 2022 Monkey Puzzle Billericay 

On the the 27th May the nursery will be closed for a staff training day, this is to support staff at the setting with their continuous professional development and by doing this it ensures they can complete their job to a high standard. In addition to this Aston, Nadia and Daisy have recently completed their Designated Safeguarding Lead training. DSL training is designed for staff working within a safeguarding role and is put together to ensure that those who deal with safeguarding issues, are fully equipped with the knowledge to cater for meet the needs of children families.

As some of you know we said goodbye to Sophie in February 2022. Over the last few weeks Jamie-Lee has been gradually taking over Sophie’s tasks and day-to-day activities This is to ensure, that whilst we continue our search for a new manager, the operation of the nursery is not affected.

We have conducted interviews, but as of yet, have not found the suitable person that can take forward an established, well run nursery.

As such, In the meantime, with Jamie-Lee’s experience and knowledge of the nursery and sector, she will step up as acting manager, supported by Daisy Slade as acting deputy, whilst we continue our search to bring in a new suitable manager. Please don't hesitate to contact Jamie-Lee or Daisy.

We are Saying goodbye to Emina (aka Mina), who has been with us at Monkey Puzzle Billericay since June 2017, Mina is also starting a new chapter in her career as a beauty technician Mina has gained so much experience here at Monkey Puzzle Billericay with babies, Toddlers & Preschool. We wish her all the best in the future.

 

We are Saying hello to a few staff members that have joined us over the last few weeks.

We are Saying Hello to Katie who started with us in February Katie is based in our pre-school room and some of you may have seen her around. Katie has over 7 Years of child care experience.  We would also like to welcome Jasmine and Sophie.

Jasmine is based in our pre-school room and has come back in to childcare after being on maternity leave enjoying her time as a mum. Sophie is our new apprentice and will be based in our toddler room.

Staff updates/Training March/April 2022 Monkey Puzzle Billericay

We wanted to let you know that Monkey Puzzle Billericay is undergoing a wonderful brand transformation! Our nursery will be rebranding it’s permanent external signage, website and logo. Based on recent customer research, we have taken the opportunity to update the branding to reflect the high quality, premium childcare we offer with a fresh modern look and feel.

Over the next few weeks you will see a change in the nursery’s external signage and website. The main changes you will notice will include the Monkey Puzzle logo, brand colours and font. The bright yellow and red colours are being replaced by calming pastel blues, purples and greens. The ‘button like’ logo will be replaced with a flat, cleaner looking logo, and our font is being updated to a much more readable option.

Please rest assured, that even though the look and feel of Monkey Puzzle Billericay is being refreshed and updated, we are still the same Monkey Puzzle nursery you and your little ones know and love.
